Duties

Service and Aftersales

  • Provide  technical support and equipment reliability improvement strategy to different customers in Africa in the mineral processing (Mining – Dewatering plants): Specializing on Thickeners, Floatation cells filters(Horizontal belt filters and press filters)
  • Doing physical inspection on the equipment and developing technical report (Mechanical and E&I) with recommendations for all our African customers.
  • Developing a routine maintenance activity plan and maintenance spares management plan (critical spares, consumables and tools) according to the equipment condition and findings to reduce breakdowns and maintenance cost. 
  • Driving reliability improvement and the life span of the equipment.
  • Conducting root cause analysis, improving the maintenance plan accordingly and provide required training to technicians. 
  • Developing maintenance plans /models which suit customer’s specifications and timelines; and delivering according to those plans. 
  • 2nd line fault-finding and repair support on mechanical, electrical and instrumentation equipment on the Delkor, BATEMAN and TAKRAF products, and inforce engineering best practice.
  • Driving continuous improvement of mean time between failures and downtime reduction.
  • Improve maintenance and safety through different maintenance software tools for different customers(SAP, On key5,Maximo)
  • Managing all brownfield projects (shut down services; upgrade/modernisation) from start to handing over by developing project plans, calculate time frames, sequences of stages of the project, assigning resources, preparing status report, monitor budget, sub-contractor and project schedules. 
  • Business development on services/aftersales business on brown filed project; spare parts in the African region.
  • Managing sales risk on opportunities from a perspective of delivery and capability trough advisory and technical support for all prospect in the African region

Mining & Mineral Processing:Operations and Maintenance Site Manager From 2011-05 To 2016-10
Duties
  • Provide technical support and equipment reliability improvement strategy:
  • Prepare and control routine maintenance activities on all Larox plants and equipment’s, managing maintenance spares (critical spares, consumables and tools) and managing maintenance budget.
  • Production supervision and resourcing.
  • 2nd line fault-finding and repair support on mechanical, electrical and instrumentation equipment on the Larox plant, and inforce engineering best practice.
  • Doing root cause analysis, improving the maintenance plan accordingly and provide required training to technicians.
  • Overseeing and driving adherence of high quality standard workmanship through planed task observations and daily inspection and signing off work done.

Duties

Aftersales Service on Automation: 

  • Generating sales through customer site visits for ABB product auditing (DCS S800 systems and AC/DC VSD) and putting together a competitive proposal for spares, maintenance services and upgrades to maximise customer cost savings and minimising plant down times.

Duties

Electronic Testing Technician: 

  • Assemble and integrate electronic and software modules into final unit assemblies in accordance with assembly and integration procedures.
  • Test PCB assemblies and final unit assemblies in accordance with SS Telecoms procedures and perform Environmental Stress Screening on final unit assemblies
