JOB OBJECTIVE The role will regulate the relationship between management and employees, and with external institutions. Promote and maintain communication between management, unions and employees. Provide advice and support to managers about labour law. To provide support in implementing and managing human resource systems and procedures in order to promote an employee-oriented, high performance culture within company Give guidance to employees and managers concerning relevant company policies and procedures, work practices and legislation and its interpretation. Advise line managers on legal compliance with regard to Labour Relations Act and all other relevant legislation. Ensure consistency and fairness in the interpretation and application of the Disciplinary Code across operations. Monitor, analyse and report trends of misconduct to relevant persons. Arrangement and coordination of disciplinary and grievance hearings. Compile hearings and case documentation. Attend to CCMA/ Bargaining Council cases. Ensure that all ER related processes are held within a reasonable time as per policies and procedure. Assist in the resolution of matters emanating from engagement forums such as the Trade Unions and ensure that they are captured and monitored. Schedule mandatory meetings and ensure that they are held in line with different regulations and agreements, minutes of these meetings and ensure all minutes of the meetings are adopted and signed off by relevant stakeholders. Prepare and conduct site ER training and Induction sessions. Engagement and Communication: Establish and maintain good working relationships and an effective / sound communication system with the operation. Company Policy & Procedures Compliance: Takes cognisance of and adhere to Company policies, procedures and relevant legislation. Manage and report on non-compliance issues. Required Education Bachelors in Labour Relations Required Experience At least 5 years’ experience as Industrial Relations Specialist At least 3 years’ experience in the manufacturing industry Experience working with MEIBC Experience working with SEIFSA Proficient in MS Office
