Duties
    • Managing the roll out of the new in-house developed budget tool (budget span 5 years)
    • Liaising with business units’ Financial Managers and costs accountants on group cash consolidation reports, budget revisions and budget base assumptions.
    • Implementing a new budget process that reports a 5 year budget cycle compared to the 1      year budget last year.

Duties
  • Manage the full finance function of local office in South Africa (S.A.) and foreign subsidiary in Namibia (Annual revenue- R174 million; Creditors-   R6 million; Debtors- R30 million).
  • Liaise with sales heads (7 branches in S.A. at each branch weekly for sales forecasts and track sales forecasts versus budgeted sales and monitor effect on working capital targets.
  • Manage the cash management process for foreign and local cash weekly and review the monthly report to Group.
  • Review monthly and annual tax calculations ((PAYE, EMP201, VAT, INCOME TAX) for both local and international branches and attend to tax related matters.
  • Review of bill of materials on big projects and verification of product costing changes.
  • Review the income and costs monthly for to prepare management accounts. Track monthly expenditure compared to budget and updated forecasts.
  • Review and present Management Accounts to executive management for Head office and branches monthly (EXCO).
  • Review annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS. Prepare and present financial results at monthly ESG (Engineering Solutions Group) Board meetings.

Duties
  • Managing a staff complement of 20 team members.
  • Managing a business with an annual turnover of R550 million with local offices in South Africa and three foreign subsidiaries situated in America, Finland and Australia.
  • Reported monthly to Business unit board and Operating Group board on financial results. A monthly Financial Director report explaining cost and income variances was completed for Group review. 
  • Evaluated risks with local and foreign subsidiary business processes and systems in place and implemented change.
